2024 Goals in Review
where I met and missed my 2024 New Year's Resolutions.
How did I do on my 2024 New Year's Goals? Let’s see!
Goal One: Try new things with my blog.
-switch platforms from Blogger to Substack. (Yes, I completed this one!)
-create a lead magnet. (No, did not complete this one.)
-start creating audio posts. (Created 4 out of the 10 that I had hoped.)
-make $200 from Flight Patterns. (I made ~60 from Flight Patterns, but an unexpected copywriting opportunity came up, so I can say yes, I made over $200 with my writing.
Goal Two: Improve networking.
-reply to 100 emails. (I believe I responded to about thirty.)
-write 10 guest posts. (I wrote 1 guest post but also participated in 3 other collaborative projects, plus 4 posts requested by subscribers.)
-reach 500 subscribers. (I’m at 160 subscribers, which is double where I was this time last year.)
Goal Three: Publish short story.
This didn't really happen, due to stress from school and work. However, I wrote a number of poems that I'm proud of, participated in a poetry reading, and submitted them to a poetry magazine, so I'd say that counts.
Goal Four: Clean out my email inboxes.
At the beginning of the year, I had over 1000 unread emails coming in to 3 different accounts. I successfully consolidated all the accounts, and with the help of a friend training to be a personal assistant, sorted and cleared out a lot of the junk mail.
Goal Five: Read 12 books.
Exceeded this goal at 14 books.
