Hello, friends!
This week, I was thinking about grass. I have a few indoor plants, but it’s a hassle to keep them alive. Grass, on the other hand, gets chopped up every other week, stepped on, pulled up, etc. Yet it remains green and hardy in our lawns and even in gardens and cracks in the sidewalk.
Even when we don’t water our lawn and it turns brown, the grass still comes back in the winter.
People don’t really think about grass, unless they’re trying to get out a green stain or longing for the other side of the fence. But grass makes up 2/3 of the world’s diet in the form of grain, and over 1/3 of the world’s land is covered in grass.
Grass is pretty epic and is a reminder of how much God cares for things we consider small and insignificant.
And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,
yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Are you feeling anxious today? Go put your feet in grass and remember that God has everything under control.
Best Regards,
Desiree <3
