The Young Writer Blog
https://theyoungwriter.com/yes-you-can-make-a-living-as-a-writer-heres-how/
Run by the founders of the Young Writer’s Workshop (YDubs), the Young Writer’s Blog provides content for each of the WriterScore areas (Community, Consistency, Content, Family Support, Learning, Marketing, Mentorship, Motivation, Platform, Publishing, Strategy, and Writing Habits.)
The WriterScore Assessment is a free, measureable assessment that helps you target which areas of your writing to focus on strengthening next. I’ve taken the WriterScore several times in the last 2 years and it’s really encourageing to watch my score go up.
I participated in YDubs for my senior year and learned so much. I’m really excited to see that they’re offering this really high-quality content for free! In addition, they’ve provided the Jumpstarter bundle—lifetime access to some of their best lessons —for only $9. I can tend to be penny pinching, but this is honestly a steal.
Story Embers
https://storyembers.org/
This site has a strong focus on storytelling. The most impactful thing I get out of this site’s content is a reminder that I should keep God in my writing and practical tips about how to do so.
Abbie Emmons
Not only does Abbie have a gorgeous aesthetic and very accessible posts, the advice she gives seems doable rather than overwhelming. This content sparks my excitement for creativity.
Her pillars include Productivity, Writing Tips, Blogging + Biz, and Mental Health + Creativity. She also talks about Personal Growth and Indie Publishing.
Hope you enjoy these sites. What are some resources you find helpful?
